Support for social workers
Social workers deal with complex and various challenging cases daily. Being very busy with huge caseloads, strict deadlines, etc, social workers have little or no time to 'fill their cups'. Social workers are trained on trauma-informed approach to deal with individuals/families, however, some of the experiences may be triggers to the social worker's unresolved trauma. Without having appropriate tools to deal with themselves first, a social worker may become defensive, using professional standards whilst regarding the humanistic aspects. This create massive problems as the social worker compromises their working relationships and more, thus, impacting on the support they are meant to offer. This can result to under performance, job dissatisfaction and wellbeing. Support through Transformation Life Coaching is available for social workers to learn skills to manage their own traumas and be true to themselves to focus on the job they are passionate about without fear.
